Community Outreach
Community Outreach Banner

An integral part of Womynfest At Sea and all Off Key Productions' events is that our participants are encouraged to give back to our communities.

This year's festival features two Community Outreach opportunities for all who wish to participate:

  • The fundraising Cast Off Party, to be held in Seattle on Friday, June 29, 2007,
       will benefit the Northwest Network.

  • Port of Call - Sitka, AK. Trail Hike & Cleanup
  • W.A.S. 2007 Cast Off Party Beneficiary

We are happy to announce that the recipient of this year's Cast Off Party fundraising efforts will be the Northwest Network.

Based in Seattle, WA, the Northwest Network provides support and advocacy for LBGT people of all genders who are surviving abuse. They are seeking to increase the ability of all communities, beginning in the Seattle region, "to support the self-determination and safety of bisexual, transgendered, lesbian, and gay survivors of abuse through education, organizing and advocacy". They "work within a broad liberation movement dedicated to social & economic justice, equality and respect for all people and the creation of loving, inclusive and accountable communities".

We applaud the Northwest Network's unstoppable efforts to create a safer environment for all people. Please visit www.NWNetwork.org to find out more about this important ally in the fight against domestic violence and how you can do more to help them help others.
